I LOVE this book. Stumbling across this book opened my eyes to traditional nourishing diets and real foods and encouraged me to search out other sources such as the WAPF and Nourishing Traditions. As a naturopathic practitioner I reccomend this book to every health practitioner that works with children and families.

I recently loaned it to a naturopathic colleague pregnant with her first child (she's since given birth to a beautiful baby boy - hello Lisa if you're reading this!!) and it resulted in a complete turnabout from the "low fat", "anti saturated fat", "junk food's OK in moderation" mentality that is taught to all health care practitioners today (including Naturopaths).

There is a LOT of information packed into this small book (small font and even smaller margins) so it can be a bit of a heavy and challenging read, and as Janice Curtin the points out in her review it can be quite scary as well. But Robert offers up lots of solutions and advice on stemming the continued deterioration of the health of today's children. This book is not just for todays children and parents, it's also a cautionary tale on where the health of future generations is heading if we don't clean up our diets.
