This is the diet and recipe guide that I follow when I'm cleaning out my system of fungus and parasites. I do a clean up every 3 months, with the seasons, to prepare my body for the new shift in season. It's a 2 week program of "weeding" out bad bugs and bacteria, and followed with 2 weeks of  "seeding and feeding" the gut with good bacteria from lactofermented foods.

There are a few differences to Bee's program. I rotate carbs with green apples, grapefruits, carrots and pumpkins to maintain energy levels and keep focused and active during the cleanse. Carrots are actually very high in antimicrobial properties and eaten in not too large amounts will help clean up the system of bad bugs. Eating bone broths throughout the cleanse will provide you with more than adequate amounts of essential minerals, plus the gelatin rich broth is very healing to the gut. Supplements are made from petroleum by products, and are not able to be assimilated and processed by the body like whole fresh food- because they aren't food! Eating whole fresh food, high nutrient dense fats and good sources of protein with the fat will really help your body heal, and the beauty of these foods are they are completely bio-available; without putting you through the added stress of buying loads of expensive supplements.

		<description>In response to Samantha, I hope you don't mind Bee, that even in Bible times people needed to ferment and sprout their food and grains.  These traditions have been around for such a long time.  Also, if you're referring to the bible for instruction on eating, I think you need to consider the time and circumstances too.  Adam and Eve ate only nuts, fruits, veggies and grains because the 'Garden' was perfect.  All life lived in perfect harmony until it was disrupted by sin.  Then things had to change.  God gave us the laws in Leviticus.  Eating meat, what kinds of meat, how to prepare food and so on.  However, they did not have refrigeration, they did not understand the concept of germs and parasites and disease coming from 'unclean' meat.  My family follows these laws from the Bible loosely, but have modified them to suit the times.  We don't eat shelled seafood, or shrimp (very often)  we eat pork rarely, and only from a pasture fed farm, etc... It's easy to pick and chose things out of the Bible to fit our arguments, but it's so often forgotten that some things are changed by the current circumstances and by translation.  And by that I mean, what was going on during the time it was written, and the difference in the language it was written in and translated to.  I believe in the inherent truth of the Bible and my family would be considered Christ Followers, but I also know that God gave us common sense and we should use it to be discerning, especially when it comes to our diet.  Listen to your body, it will tell you what heals it and nourishes it.  I hope this is helpful to you Samantha, as you continue to discover your path in Nutrition and well being.</description>
