Question: Dr Cabot's diet recommendations are very different to yours. Why does she say to minimise animal fat and use olive oil instead for Liver health? - Carolyn Answer: I am not familiar with Dr. Cabot's work, but she is probably just repeating the same politically correct nutritional "advice" that we hear everywhere, which always includes a very unscientific demonization of saturated fats. It has been know for at least 60 years that saturated fats protect the liver and animal fats are mostly saturated.
